Hall & Oates launch compilation on QVC
Daryl Hall and John Oates will debut their new box set, "Do What You Want, Be What You Are," with a live performance on QVC Sept. 21, according to a press release.
Hall & Oates are expected to perform a selection of songs from the four-disc compilation, including "Rich Girl," "Maneater," and "Sara Smile."
QVC viewers will have the opportunity to order the box set nearly one month before its official release date.
The forthcoming collection marks the first comprehensive, multi-CD, multi-label compilation ever assembled from the duo's entire body of work, beginning in 1966 on Philadelphia's Arctic and Crimson indie labels, through the years on Atlantic (1972-'75), RCA (1975-'85) and Arista (1988-'90). The set also will feature music originally released in 2002 on the duo's U-Watch label.
The four CDs will contain 74 tracks, 16 of them previously unreleased.
