Hawthorne Heights plan fall road trip
With a new record deal inked earlier this year and a fourth studio album in the works, Hawthorne Heights will head out on a tour of the eastern half of the nation later this fall.
The Ohio-based emo act will hit the road beginning Nov. 2 in Cleveland Heights, OH, followed by stops in 15 cities through the end of that month. December concerts will be added to the calendar in the coming weeks, according to a video posted at the band's website.
Just Surrender, Punchline, Monty Are I, Anarbor and Night Beast will take turns handling opening duties for the run.
"Fragile Future," Hawthorne Heights' most recent studio effort, surfaced last summer. The album, which marks the band's third and final release on Victory Records, resolved a lengthy legal battle between the group and the label. The set was also the outfit's first record since guitarist Casey Calvert's death in November 2007.
In February, Hawthorne Heights entered into an agreement with four subsidiaries of Wind-up Entertainment that includes recording, merchandising, artist development and publishing.
Earlier this summer, Bucciarelli confirmed in a blog entry posted at the group's website that the band was back in the studio and had "put the finishing touches on the vocals" for its fourth album.
No word yet on when the new set--the first on the Wind-up Records label--will hit retailers.
