INXS deals new North American tour dates
INXS , currently enjoying a rebirth thanks to last year's addition of new singer J.D. Fortune, has lined up a round of North American shows that are set to take place later this fall.
The group has doled out a string of shows that kick off in early November and are split between the US and Fortune's native Canada. Details are included below.
INXS had been mostly on hiatus since the 1997 death of founding lead singer Michael Hutchence. The group's surviving members chose Nova Scotia's Fortune last year from a pool of thousands of applicants on the TV reality show "Rock Star: INXS."
Fortune's first album with the group, "Switch"--which is also the band's first studio set since 1997--hit stores in December.
Now in its second season, "Rock Star" is helping Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke find a singer to front their newly formed group, Supernova. The winner will be announced during tonight's (9/13) season finale.
