James Blunt maps trek across Canada

Singer/songwriter James Blunt has lined up a fall tour of Canada as he continues to push his latest studio effort, "All the Lost Souls," and a forthcoming non-album single.

The English soldier-turned-musician (he served with the British Army under NATO command in Kosovo in 1999) kicks off the outing Nov. 17 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will hit 12 Canadian cities on the trek, which moves eastward across the nation over the two-week span of the tour. Dates are below.

"All the Lost Souls," Blunt's sophomore effort, surfaced in September of last year and debuted at No. 7 on The Billboard 200. The set has spawned four singles, including the most recent, "I Really Want You." The songs can be heard streaming at Blunt's MySpace page.

The record follows Blunt's 2004 debut, "Back to Bedlam," which sold 11 million copies and earned him several Grammy nods, according to his record label. The mega-hit single from that album, "You're Beautiful," reached No. 1 across a variety of formats in the US, marking the first time a British act has topped US singles charts since Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" in 1997, according to Blunt's bio.

On Nov. 17, the singer will drop a new single, "Love, Love, Love," his first new material since the release of "All the Lost Souls."
