Jane's Addiction cancels Australian dates

Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins has been hospitalized in Los Angeles for an elbow infection, forcing the cancellation of the band's Australian tour leg.

The affected tour dates were to have run from July 26 through Aug. 1. The band is still scheduled to cap off its reunion tour Aug. 9 with an appearance at this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago.

On Friday evening (7/25), Jane's guitarist Dave Navarro posted to his Twitter account, "About to go see Stephen in the hospital. ... He is doing great but still has to stay another couple nights. I'll report back in a little while," and later posted a target="new">photo of Stephen in his hospital bed with the caption "He's feelin' better folks!"
