Jimmy Buffett Announces Spring / Summer Tour Schedule

Jimmy Buffett has plotted out Midwest and East Coast tour dates for the spring and summer, beginning June 1st in Charlotte, NC and running, for now, through September 4th in Mansfield, MA. The current itinerary, released via Buffett's official web site, is sparsely populated, spreading 24 shows across thirteen weeks.

Ticket information posted to the web site has fifteen shows on the route set for sale March 20th and the remainder up for sale on March 27th. At press time, ticketing plans could not be verified with venues. Full information will appear in Livedaily.com Weekend as details become available.

Buffett will take part in a cultural exchange effort with Cuba next week by spending a week collaborating and performing with Cuban musicians in Havana. Buffett will be joined in the trek by American artists Joan Osborne, Lisa Loeb, Kris Kristofferson, Mick Fleetwood, Montell Jordan and The Indigo Girls. Buffett has also been working on a new album, tentatively titled Beach House on the Moon, with a target release time of late May.

No West Coast dates have yet been set for the 1999 run, though rumors circulating through the Buffett web community point toward the possibility of a major Buffett event in the works with the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles for New Year's Eve.
