John Fogerty gets help from Springsteen, Eagles on 'Rangers'
It's long been known that John Fogerty 's forthcoming "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again" album wouldn't be a reprise of the 1972 "Blue Ridge Rangers" album, which the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman played entirely on his own. Many of the names in his backup band for the new album, however, surfaced only recently. As it turns out, some of those names are pretty big.
Bruce Springsteen duets with Fogerty on the Everly Brothers' "When Will I Be Loved," and the Eagles' Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmidt sing harmonies on Rick Nelson's "Garden Party."
Others who contributed to the album, due Sept. 1, include Kenny Aronoff, Buddy Miller, Greg Leisz, Hunter Perrin, Jason Mowery, Chris Chaney, Jay Bellerose, Dennis Crouch, Jodie Kennedy, Herb Pedersen and Oren Waters.
Fogerty arranged and produced the album himself; the full tracklisting follows.
