Lady Gaga to tour solo in the wake of Kanye West cancellations
Lady Gaga recently told MTV News that the decision to cancel her Fame Kills tour with Kanye West was mutual.
The flamboyant Lady Gaga's tour reportedly will kick off a week later than the scheduled tour with West. Dates and venues haven't been confirmed.
Gaga said the look of the tour will be very different than what had been planned for the Fame Kills outing. "In respects to the creative work that [Kayne and I] did together, I won't be doing any of the things that we designed for the tour," she told reporters on the red carpet outside Billboard's recent Women in Music event. "It will be entirely new, and it will be just as amazing and memorable and epic."
Speculation about the reasons for the Fame Kills cancellation have ranged from creative differences to poor ticket sales. According to TMZ, early ticket sales failed to meet expectations, which is being attributed to the anti-West sentiment that has surrounded him since he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at MTV's Video Music Awards ceremony last month.
Lady Gaga said an announcement about who will be joining her on her tour will be made soon.
