LeAnn Rimes fills out summer schedule

LeAnn Rimes has expanded her in-progress summer run of the US, adding 13 cities through mid-fall.

The trek, which kicked off in late January and continues Friday (5/8) in Thackerville, OK, will venture from coast to coast through the two-night finale Oct. 2-3 in Dallas. Since last check, stops have been added in Jacksonville, FL; French Lick, IN; Hyannis, MA; Park City, UT; and San Diego, among others. The full schedule is below.

Rimes, who sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Saturday's (5/2) Kentucky Derby, continues supporting her most recent studio effort, "Family," which surfaced in late 2007. The album--her first featuring all original material she wrote or co-wrote--reached No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The record's latest single, "What I Cannot Change," scaled Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart and spawned the country crossover act's first book of the same name--an inspirational work based on the concepts of peace and acceptance.

The songstress, who made waves in the music industry when, at the age of 13, she became the youngest musician to win a Grammy, has been nominated for a CMT Music Award for Performance of the Year for "Nothin' Better to Do." Voting continues through May 11 on the country station's website; the awards show airs June 16 on the CMT network.
