Lenny Kravitz commemorates 20 years of 'Love' on fall tour
Lenny Kravitz will continue celebrating the 20th anniversary of his 1989 debut album, "Let Love Rule," with a US club tour this fall.
The trek gets underway with four New York City shows beginning Oct. 11, and will also hit Atlanta, New Orleans and Washington, DC, among other destinations. Full details are included below.
During the tour, Kravitz will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his 1989 debut, "Let Love Rule." In honor of the album's anniversary, Virgin/EMI released an expanded, 2-disc reissue in May. The updated set contains a remastered version of the original album, plus 18 bonus tracks, including 13 previously unreleased demos, B-sides and live recordings.
Kravitz has been on the road for the last two years supporting his latest studio release, "It Is Time for a Love Revolution," which entered The Billboard 200 at No. 4 in February of last year, marking his highest debut ever. The multi-instrumentalist wrote, produced, arranged and played all 14 tracks on the set, as he has on all of his albums, according to a press release.
The new record is Kravitz's eighth studio offering and first since 2004's gold-certified "Baptism." So far, it has spawned the singles "I'll Be Waiting," "Love Love Love" and "Dancin' Til Dawn."
Kravitz has been forced to postpone or cancel shows over the last two years due to a severe respiratory-tract infection that eventually turned into bronchitis, including his Canadian and South American dates last year, and a few dates on the Italian leg of his tour this summer.
