Leonard Cohen collapses on stage

Leonard Cohen fainted on stage while performing Friday (9/18) night at Valencia Luis Puig Velodromo in Spain. His band immediately stopped playing and rushed to the side of the 75-year-old Canadian performer.

Cohen, who was performing "Bird On The Wire" when he collapsed, was first treated by the venue's medical staff and then taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to a BBC News report.

After he collapsed, a band member told the audience that Cohen had been suffering from stomach cramps and had been vomiting.

Cohen, who reportedly was stricken with food poisoning, was given the "all-clear" in the early hours of Saturday and is expected to go forward with his concert in Barcelona tonight (9/21).

He's scheduled to launch another month of North American dates next month; the itinerary is below.
