Lostprophets forge ahead with fall tour

Originally due to spend a chunk of the fall touring with fellow rockers HIM, Lostprophets have rebounded from that group's decision to cancel the outing by plotting a headlining run of their own.

The new additions to Lostprophets' schedule comprise more than a dozen dates that stretch from mid-October through early November, and include stops in the Northeast, South and Midwest. Details are included below.

Lostprophets were planning to link up with HIM from Oct. 18 through Halloween, but those plans were waylaid when HIM announced last month that it was pulling out so it could instead focus on recording its next album.

Meanwhile, Lostprophets are eyeing plans for their next album, and warning fans that their current round of US shows might be their last for a while.

"We aren't sure if we will be back again after these shows so if you wanna come and see us before the next record then now is the time," the group wrote in a message posted at its MySpace page.

Lostprophets--frontman Ian Watkins, guitarists Mike Lewis and Lee Gaze, bassist Stuart Richardson and keyboardist Jamie Oliver--are working the road behind their third album, "Liberation Transmission," which surfaced in late June and debuted at No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The set features the cut "Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)," which was a Top 10 hit in the UK, and has grabbed traction on US stations.

Following their current US run, Lostprophets will mount a European tour. Details for that outing are posted at the band's website.
