Latin crooner Luis Miguel takes to the road behind '33'
With a new album now in stores, Mexican heartthrob Luis Miguel is set to embark on a tour that focuses on U.S. cities with large Latin populations.
The 21-city outing gets underway on Oct. 8 in Palm Springs, CA, and wraps up with a pair of late-November shows in Puerto Rico.
Miguel is on the road behind his new album, "33," which he recorded in Los Angeles earlier this year. The self-produced set features 11 original songs written by Armando Manzanero, Juan Luis Guerra, and Kike Santander, among others.
"Te Necesito," the album's first single, features background vocals from Take 6. A video for the song, directed by Daniela Federici and shot in Los Angeles, premiered in late September.
Miguel has a history of selling out stadiums in Latin countries, and is an especially strong draw in Southern California, Texas and Florida. His upcoming tour includes five nights at the Los Angeles area's Universal Amphitheatre and two nights in Texas' Rio Grande Valley.
