Mariah Carey hosts worldwide digital concert
Mariah Carey will simulcast her recent Las Vegas performance to mobile and other digital devices worldwide on Oct. 10, according to a press release.
"Mariah Carey Live In Las Vegas" will be streamed on the day of the event with the purchase of a $9.99 virtual concert ticket, available by texting "Mariah" to 313131, or through Carey's official website and her Facebook and MySpace pages. Tickets for the 60-minute show also can be obtained at the Iviago virtual global stage, which is accessible in more than 200 countries via more than 235 mobile and digital partners, including iClips and iTunes.
The concert stream can be viewed on the day of the event or saved for future one-time viewing. The content may be paused mid-stream and continued at a later time but may not be rewound or replayed once it has been viewed.
The show, which will be available in high definition on Oct. 24, also can be downloaded as video clips with a select number of mobile phone carriers in North America, South America and Europe.
The digital concert was recorded Sept. 11 and Sept. 12. The shows were Carey's first major performances in three years, and kicked off a four-night stand at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas that will conclude Oct. 9 and Oct. 10.
