Marilyn Manson locks and loads more tour dates
Marilyn Manson has added a dozen new dates to his current Guns, God and Government tour, according to the shock-rocker’s official website. The batch is split between six new North American stops that comprise the first 2001 tour dates on the run, and six new overseas dates that bookend February’s itinerary.
Manson, who has U.S. dates scheduled through mid-December, will follow his holiday break with a Jan. 3 show in Vancouver, British Columbia, before heading down the western U.S. coastline for stops in Portland, Seattle, and San Jose. The tour then swings inland for a performance at the Joint in Las Vegas on Jan. 10, followed by a Jan. 11 show in Santa Barbara, Calif. The six new dates lead up to the tour’s sold-out Jan. 13 stop at L.A.’s Universal Amphitheatre.
Three early February dates in Italy and three late February stops in Sweden, Finland and Russia have also been added to the tour’s European leg.
Tickets for the Jan. 11 stop in Santa Barbara go on sale to the general public on Saturday (12/2), but an Internet pre-sale for the show begins on Thursday (11/30) at 11 a.m. Pacific time. The Portland and Seattle shows, meanwhile, go on sale on Friday (12/1), while the Vancouver and San Jose shows go on sale on Sunday (12/3), according to Manson’s official website. The Jan. 10 show at the joint is Vegas is slated to go on sale on Dec. 9, according to Manson’s website.
The Guns, God and Government tour ran into a bit of trouble last weekend when drummer Ginger Fish fractured his collarbone at the tour’s stop in New York City when he leapt over his drum kit and fell off the drum riser during the show’s finale. The drummer returned to the stage as scheduled in Detroit on Tuesday and Wednesday nights (11/28-11/29).
The tour is set to continue on Friday night (12/1) in Madison, Wisc.
