Mary J. Blige brings more 'Love Soul' to the road

A few more dates have trickled into Mary J. Blige 's upcoming "Love Soul Tour," which is scheduled to visit US cities from coast to coast.

The outing launches Sept. 13 in North Charleston, SC, and now stretches through Oct. 22 with a performance in Honolulu, HI. Since last check, a second night was added at New York City's Radio City Music Hall and dates in Los Angeles and Omaha, NE, have also been confirmed. An updated itinerary is listed below.

"The Love Soul Tour" will feature special guest Robin Thicke and newcomer Dave Young, who is signed to Blige's Matriarch Records label.

The trek follows last spring's "Heart of the City Tour," which paired Blige with Jay-Z. The Grammy-winning soul songstress has been out supporting her eighth studio album, "Growing Pains," which surfaced in December and climbed to No. 1 on The Billboard 200. The set has since sold 1.54 million copies in the US, according to Billboard.

Thicke will use his opening slot to showcase material from his forthcoming album, "Something Else," which is due Sept. 30. The R&B soulman told Billboard he recently completed a remix of the song "Magic" featuring Blige, and that it may appear on the new record as a bonus track.

In other news, Blige is scheduled to join Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna and a host of other stars Sept. 5 to debut the charity single "Just Stand Up" during a simultaneous, commercial-free broadcast on the ABC, CBS and NBC television networks. The song, produced by Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Antonio "L.A." Reid, will raise funds for cancer research.
