Maximo Park [ tickets ] has canceled its upcoming tour of the US and Canada due to an unspecified illness.

The band posted a hand-written announcement at its website to apologize for canceling the tour, which would have kicked-off in September.

"We've always enjoyed visiting North America in the past and are bitterly disappointed to be missing out this time," the statement read. "When we return, it'll be with as much energy and passion as ever."
