Meat Loaf to stop by Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp

Rock icon Meat Loaf will take time away from recording a new album to headline the 2009 Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp later this year in Hollywood, joining an all-star roster of performers and celebrity counselors

The camp's fall session, which runs Nov. 12-22, will also feature special guests Jon Anderson (lead vocalist for Yes) and guitarist/founding KISS member Ace Frehley. Returning counselors include Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters), Mark Hudson (producer/songwriter for Aerosmith), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Kenny Aronoff (John Fogerty), Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Bruce Kulick (KISS), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne), Share Ross (Vixen) and Teddy Andreadis (Guns N' Roses).

Attendees of all skill levels can participate for a four-figure price, learning from and rehearsing with musicians, forming bands and enjoying jam sessions. The final night features campers recording original songs at the historic Capitol Studios in Hollywood, followed by performances at the Whisky A Go Go.

Meat Loaf, whose 1977 hit album "Bat Out of Hell" stayed on the charts for over nine years, will share with campers stories and tips from his 40-year career. The Grammy Award-winning rocker is currently recording an album with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Dave Matthews Band), according to a press release.

Since the camp's 1997 start, camp guest stars have included Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Slash (Guns N' Roses), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones) and Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys).
