Indie rockers Motion City Soundtrack [ tickets ] will hit the ground running next year, lining up an early 2010 headlining tour in support of the band's forthcoming "My Dinosaur Life."

The 14-city outing, which follows MCS's upcoming December trip in a support role for Weezer, kicks off Jan. 23 in Minneapolis and concludes Feb. 11 in Austin, TX. Dates are below.

"My Dinosaur Life," the band's fourth studio album, is scheduled to drop Jan. 19 on Columbia. The set was produced by Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, who also produced the group's 2005 release, "Commit This to Memory."

"There's an edge on this record that I'm really excited about getting into," Hoppus told Billboard earlier this year. "But it still has all the catchiness of everything that I personally love about Motion City Soundtrack. As a fan, it's really exciting to get to work with them again and help them flesh out this new vision of themselves."

MCS' third studio album, "Even If It Kills Me," surfaced in 2007 and shot to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart. Several songs from the set, produced by Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and Fountain of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, are streaming at the group's MySpace page.
