New Knitting Factory venue set for Reno

emailThe Knitting Factory franchise is opening a new, 1,200-seat venue in downtown Reno, NV. The venue, bar and restaurant will be the largest club in the chain, which currently operates in Brooklyn, NY, Boise, ID, and Spokane, WA.
Reno's Knitting Factory will be located at the site of the former Rocky's Sports Bar, which has undergone a million-dollar rebuild, according to a Sacramento Bee report.

Operators hope the new mid-size venue will meet the needs of artists that typically would not play Reno's casino venues.
The club, which will feature an eclectic mix of artists, will open with a Jan. 1 performance by The Roots. Additional acts booked for the first month of operations include Gloriana, Switchfoot, Reel Big Fish, Candlebox, AFI, Umphrey's McGee and a "Latin Lockdown" with Lil' Rob.
Knitting Factory closed its Hollywood location earlier this year.
