New Releases, June 16: Jonas Brothers, Michael Buble, George Harrison

Jonas Brothers
"Lines, Vines and Trying Times"
(Hollywood)

The Disney Channel dreamboats are looking to sail back to the top of the Billboard charts with the release of their fourth studio album. "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" follows 2008's "A Little Bit Longer," a work that firmly established the Brothers--Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas--among the true superstars in the industry.

"Lines, Vines and Trying Times" was produced by John Fields, who was also at the boards for the Jonas Brothers' previous three records. The first single from the album is the cut "Paranoid," which made its official debut early last month on Radio Disney.

The Jonas Brothers have been one of the busiest acts in pop music over the last year or so. Their activities have included starring on TV, releasing a feature-length concert film and conducting sold-out tours.

The three siblings certainly aren't looking to slow down during the second half of 2009. Notably, the Jonas Brothers plan to kick off a world tour June 20 in Dallas; bringing opening acts Jordin Sparks and Honor Society along for the ride. On this trek, the musicians will utilize the increasingly popular "in-the-round" stage configuration, which allows for more fans to enjoy close-up views than if the Brothers had just gone with a traditional concert setting.

Michael Buble
"Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden"
(Reprise)

The pop/jazz entertainer, who has built his fortune mainly through covering both standards and modern pop tunes, is set to release a live recording. The DVD/CD combo was recorded during the vocalist's gig at New York City's most legendary venue, Madison Square Garden, back in December.

"Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden" includes Buble singing Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man," the classic "Me and Mrs. Jones," the upbeat "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," and the original, hit single "Home." It also features backstage coverage, interviews and footage of the singer's visit to the Blue Note club, where he first performed in NYC more than six years ago.

George Harrison
"Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison"
(EMI)

This collection of 19 digitally remastered songs highlights the solo career of The Beatles' legendary guitarist/vocalist, who died at age 58 in 2001. It's the first effort to span Harrison's entire musical life outside The Beatles, starting with 1970's "All Things Must Pass" and continuing up through 2002's "Brainwashed," according to a press release.

"Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison" includes such memorable solo cuts as "My Sweet Lord," "Isn't It A Pity" and "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)," as well as a trio of Harrison-penned Beatles tunes--"Something," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Here Comes The Sun"--recorded in 1971 at New York's Madison Square Garden during the Concert For Bangladesh benefit.

Hank Williams Jr.
"127 Rose Avenue"
(Curb)

The country music royal family member, who is the son of Hank Williams and the father of Hank Williams III, will finally release a follow-up to 2003's "I'm One of You."

The lead single from "127 Rose Avenue" is the song "Red, White and Pink-Slip Blues," which is already a mega-hit on radio. The tune, penned by Mark Stephen Jones and Arthur Tower, addresses present-day economic hardships. Williams will support the album with a North American tour, which currently boasts dates from July into September.
