Norah Jones [ tickets ] debuted the new song "Young Blood," from her upcoming album, "The Fall," last week at Apple's press conference in San Francisco. The album, which features a portrait by photographer Autumn de Wilde, will be released by EMI's Blue Note Records on Nov. 17, according to a press release.

At the Apple press conference, Jones also performed "Come Away With Me," the title cut from her 2002 Grammy Award-winning debut. That album is one of the first to be released in the new iTunes LP format, which the company says "reinvents the visual experience" of the record album through live performance videos, lyrics, artwork, liner notes, interviews, photos, album credits and more.

For the new release, Jones reportedly wanted to take her music in a new direction, experimenting with different sounds and a new set of collaborators including noted producer and engineer Jacquire King, who has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits and Modest Mouse, among others.

Jones also brought aboard several songwriting collaborators for "The Fall," including Ryan Adams and Okkervil River's Will Sheff.

The album also features a new group of seasoned musicians, including drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer). The songbird's frequent songwriting collaborator Jesse Harris also worked with Jones on the forthcoming release.
