Original Jane's Addiction members play small LA gig, hint at more shows

The original members of Jane's Addiction reunited Oct. 23 for an hour-long set at La Cita, a Mexican bar in Los Angeles.

On his blog, Dave Navarro said the return of bassist Eric Avery, who had declined to participate in any of the Jane's reunions since the original members split in 1991, added the "bottom punk rock glue that we have been missing for years ... The fact remains that this machine cannot really run as well with after market parts. Jane's Addiction has to be fully stock in order to do what it does best."

In closing, Navarro hinted at more shows, saying, "Thanks to everyone who made this night possible … whatever order the stars and planets happened to be in last night, everything came together, hopefully not for the last time."
