Paul Weller plans European outing for February

Former Jam frontman Paul Weller has announced an 18-date European solo tour that will kick off on Feb. 3. The outing follows the cancellation of a U.S. tour that was to have taken place last October.

Weller will play clubs throughout Europe beginning at the Botanique in Brussels, Belgium, on Feb. 3, and ending at the Mafathalle in Munich, Germany, on March 8. The continental European dates are added to two Northern Ireland shows that were announced last week.

Last October, Weller called off a planned North American tour. At the time, a statement issued via his official website claimed that the costs of mounting a U.S. tour proved to be "disastrous," prompting the decision.
