Paul Weller Readies Ninth Solo Album

Paul Weller 's ninth solo album, "22 Dreams," which features several guest artists including Noel Gallagher, hits the streets June 24, according to a press release.

"22 Dreams," Weller's first release in three years, mixes numerous genres and styles that he has touched on in his work with The Jam, The Style Council and his solo recordings, including rock, funk, soul, "freak folk," free jazz, classical, spoken word, electronica and more.

The album's first single, "Echoes Round the Sun," was co-written with Oasis' Gallagher. Other guests on the album include Blur guitarist Graham Coxon, Little Barrie, who contributes guitar work to the album's title track, and ex-Stone Rose Aziz Ibrahim.

Weller, who earned Lifetime Achievement honors at the 2007 Brit Awards, is expected tour the US later this year.
