Portugal. The Man extends non-stop tour into fall

Experimental alt-rockers Portugal. The Man have lined up dates through late next month as they continue to support a pair of July studio albums.

The Alaska-bred group, which is currently based in Portland, OR, continues its current outing (which kicked off back in May) tonight (9/25) in West Hollywood, CA. The band still has about a month's worth of dates to go on the trek, which concludes Oct. 23 in New York City. Details are included below.

"The Satanic Satanist," the band's fourth studio album, surfaced in July, along with its twin, "The Majestic Majesty," which featured the songs from "Satanist" performed acoustically. The latter set was released digitally, and also given away as a bonus to those who pre-ordered "The Satanic Satanist."

The twin LPs were the group's second and third studio releases in a little over a year, following last fall's "Censored Colors." That set featured the production talent of Phil Peterson and Kirk Huffman of The House of Breaking Glass, and Paul Kolderie (Pixies, Radiohead).

"Ever since we first started, this is exactly what we wanted to do," vocalist/guitarist John Baldwin Gourley said in the band's bio. "An album-a-year, tour, and always challenge ourselves by pushing in different directions and trying to do things we haven't done before."
