Rap all-stars Slaughterhouse nabbed for Paid Dues

The new rap "supergroup" Slaughterhouse will make its West Coast debut March 28 at the 4th annual Paid Dues independent hip-hop festival in San Bernardino, CA, according to a press release.

The four-man group--comprised of respected underground hip-hop MCs Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz and Crooked I--held its first live performance Jan. 22 in front of a sold-out house at S.O.B.'s in New York.

In a statement, event organizers said they couldn't ignore the buzz about Slaughterhouse among real "hip-hop heads" so they had to grab them for Paid Dues even though it was last minute and it put them over budget. "We said, 'screw it!' In these difficult financial times I feel that our fans deserve the best show/party possible."

Slaughterhouse joins previously announced Paid Dues acts Atmosphere, Tech N9ne, Living Legends, Brother Ali, B-Real, Cage and more.
