Ray LaMontagne dishes more 'Gossip' this fall
Ray LaMontagne will make the road his home again this fall when he sets out on a US tour that begins with two shows during which he'll team up with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Set to launch in mid-October, the tour will feature LaMontagne and the BSO at North Bethesda, MD's Music Center at Strathmore Oct. 15, and at Baltimore's Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on Oct. 16. Nine subsequent acoustic shows are scattered across the country in November. Details are included below.
Fans willing to pay a premium for their tickets will have a shot at getting up close and personal with LaMontagne during the tour via an arrangement the singer/songwriter has made with Tickets-for-Charity. A limited number of front-row seats will be available at TicketsforCharity.com, proceeds from which will benefit The National Children's Cancer Society, plus up to three partner charities of the ticket-buyer's choosing, according to a press release.
The upcoming symphony shows won't be an unfamiliar circumstance for LaMontagne; in July, he performed to a sold-out crowd at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl with that venue's orchestra.
LaMontagne's fall run will mark his third stretch of North American shows in support of last year's Gossip in the Grain." Released in October, the set debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart.
