Red Jumpsuit Apparatus tops Take Action! bill

Organizers have nailed down the lineup for the 2007 Take Action! Tour--a non-profit outing that brings the issues of suicide and depression to the forefront and benefits the Youth America Hotline! (YAH!).

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will headline the sixth annual event and perform with fellow up-and-coming alt-rock bands Emery , Scary Kids Scaring Kids , A Static Lullaby and Kaddisfly. The tour, once again sponsored by Hot Topic, is set to kick off in early February and hit more than 40 US cities.

The dates and ticketing information will be announced shortly on Take Action's website, according to a press release.

Tour-founder/organizer Hopeless/Sub City Records will once again donate 10 percent of all ticket sales and five percent of each compilation CD sold to YAH!, a charity founded by the Kristen Brooks Hope Center to help young people in crises through peer-to-peer counseling. YAH! also educates youngsters about mental-health issues.

The tour's mission is to educate people about the positive difference that can be made through activism and charitable work, according to a statement.

Organizers claim the 2006 Take Action! Tour and compilation CD raised more than $100,000 for YAH!
