Riot Fest West delayed until next year

Riot Fest West--scheduled to take place in Los Angeles Nov. 12-14--has been postponed to Spring 2010 due to founder Riot Mike's failing health, according to a press release. The Riot Fest organizer was recently advised by doctors to take a few months off for unspecified medical treatment.

The original Riot Fest will go forward as planned Oct. 7-11 in Chicago. Screeching Weasel, NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Naked Raygun, Butthole Surfers and The Dead Milkmen are among the acts scheduled to perform during the five-day festival.

Riot Fest West was to be the first left-coast counterpart to Chicago's yearly punk and underground music event.
