Saosin headlines North America this summer
Having recently wrapped a nearly two-month stint on the Taste of Chaos tour, Southern California-based post-hardcore band Saosin is planning another North American run this summer.
The trek kicks off June 29 in Bakersfield, CA, and hits a dozen cities across the US and Canada through late July. Poison the Well and The Receiving End of Sirens will be special guests on the tour, and Fiore and Flight 409 will appear on select dates, as well. The itinerary is listed below.
Currently, Saosin (pronounced say-o-sin) is overseas playing shows in Europe, Japan, Australia and Indonesia through early June. Details about those gigs can be found at the band's website.
Saosin is supporting its self-titled debut on Capitol Records, which hit stores in September. A few songs from the album are streaming at the group's MySpace page. The major-label set follows Saosin's 2003 independent release, "Translating the Name," which earned the band a hefty following online and at live shows, according to its bio.
The group has since scored mainstage slots on rock festivals like the Vans Warped Tour, and has hit the road with acts including AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday.
