Saving Abel Gallery Spotlight: Chicago, IL - Nov. 7, 2009

About five years ago in the little Mississippi town of Corinth (population 15,000), the members of Saving Abel got together, choosing their band's name from the biblical story of Cain and Abel.

This year the group launched the first "Class of" tour, with plans to make the outing an annual event. Guitarist Jason Null described the series in a recent press release; "I love the idea of this tour… Not only do we get to tour with some of the other hit makers of 2009, but we also get a chance to help break a new artist." The "Class of 2009" teams Saving Abel with Red and Pop Evil , while Taddy Porter caught the break this time around and is serving as the opening support band.

Fans have just shy of two weeks left to catch Saving Abel live on the "Class of 2009" trek. Tonight (11/13) they perform at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, MI, and tomorrow the tour arrives at the Fillmore in Detroit. Last weekend (11/7), LiveDaily photographer Lyle A. Waisman was on hand for their Chicago show and here are some of his best shots.
