Sean 'Diddy' Combs focuses on 'Making His Band'

Rapper/producer/entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs , the mastermind behind MTV's "Making the Band" series, will search for back-up musicians to accompany him on tour behind his forthcoming album on the network's latest series, "Making His Band."

Premiering Monday (7/27), the new reality show will feature singers, drummers, guitarists, bassists and keyboardists vying for the opportunity to join Diddy on stage in support of "Last Train to Paris," which is expected to hit shelves in November. No word yet on when the tour would begin.

"In 'Making His Band' viewers will see a new side of me as reflected in my new album "Last Train to Paris," Diddy said in press release. "They will walk away knowing that this project is a personal and refreshing look at the man behind the music."

Five judges--choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson, producer/lyricist Om'Mas Keith, songwriter Rob Lewis, drummer/musical director Nisan Stewart and vocal coach Romeo--will mentor the contestants and, ultimately, help Diddy select his back-up band.
