After finishing up 2009 with a European jaunt and intimate US club run, Slightly Stoopid [ tickets ] will venture back to the stage next month for a short round of West Coast shows.

The punk-rock outfit, which wrapped up a 10-city outing of the eastern US last November, has scheduled five consecutive concerts, beginning Feb. 9 in Reno and running through Feb. 13 in Chico, CA. The full itinerary is shown at right.

"Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid," the California-based band's most recent release, hit shelves in 2008. The 21-track set features the seven tracks from the EP of the same name, as well as previously unreleased outtakes and rarities.

"It's a mixture of everything," guitarist Miles Doughty explained during a 2008 interview with LiveDaily. "It has some previously recorded tracks that we did from our last couple studio sessions and some new jams that we recorded down in Miami. It's like the staple of Slightly Stoopid: it has a little bit of every style of music that we do, from the reggae, to the hip-hop, the blues music, punk rock, metal. It's like every sound of Stoopid in one."
