Smashing Pumpkins seek drummer via open auditions

The Smashing Pumpkins are holding auditions for a new drummer April 10, according to a press release. Interested drummers should send their background information, photos and performance web links via email only to pumpkinsdrummer@gmail.com.
The band's previous drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, recently announced he was leaving the band because he could no longer commit all of his energy into something that "I don't fully possess." On his website, Chamberlin said, "I won't pretend I'm into something I'm not. I won't do it to myself, you the fan, or my former partner."
