With a handful of summer dates still on the schedule, Sound Tribe Sector 9 [ tickets ] has unveiled a fall outing that will carry the instrumental rockers into the winter months.

After three more summertime concerts--Aug. 21-22 in Atlanta and a Sept. 26 performance at Laytonville, CA's Earthdance Festival--STS9 will tackle an Oct. 3 gig at the Austin City Limits Festival before digging into an East Coast run. Concerts at clubs and theaters in 15 cities throughout the eastern half of the US make up the current itinerary, which also includes a two-night New Year's Eve stand at Denver's Wells Fargo Theatre. Big Gigantic, Telepath and Eskmo will spend one week each providing opening support on the tour.

In June, STS9 released "Peaceblaster: The New Orleans Make It Right Remixes" on the group's boutique label, 1320 Records. The record, which benefits the Make It Right Foundation, features 30 artists remixing tracks from STS9's most recent album, last year's "Peaceblaster."

A new studio album is set to hit shelves later this year, according to a press release.
