Stephen Malkmus [ tickets ] & The Jicks, Deerhoof [ tickets ] and Silversun Pickups [ tickets ] are among the acts named to perform during the Feb. 10 Plug Independent Music Awards show in New York.

Malkmus will also receive the 2007 Plug Impact Award, which "celebrates Malkmus’s influence on independent music through his exceptional work in Pavement [ tickets ], Silver Jews and his prolific career as a solo artist," according to a press release.

Tokyo Police Club and El-P round out the current list of performers--each act will play a 20-40 minute set--for the award show. The event's organizers plan to announce additional performers at a later date.

Comedian David Cross ("Mr. Show," "Arrested Development") will host the show, which will be webcast live on Internet television channel ManiaTV.

Besides the performers, all of whom are nominated for at least one Plug Award, 2007 nominees include Animal Collective, M. Ward, Joanna Newsom, Band of Horses, Cat Power and others. The full list of nominees can be found at the event's website.
