Steven Adler ordered back to rehab

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler was ordered Friday (12/19) to enter a state-sanctioned drug-rehabilitation program just one day after TV viewers watched him graduate from a drug-treatment program on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew."

Adler was arrested in July after police reportedly were called to a disturbance, and allegedly found him under the influence and in possession of drugs at his Hollywood home. The rocker was charged with felony drug possession--reportedly heroin--and with being under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor. He reportedly pleaded no contest at Los Angeles Superior Court Nov. 14 to escape a jail sentence.

In a twist, Adler, who missed a court appearance earlier in the week, told the court he had just completed another rehab program that day. That program reportedly was part of VH1's new celeb-reality show "Sober House," which follows the lives of "Celebrity Rehab" participants who have chosen to move into a sober living environment before returning home.

Adler will remain on probation while he tries to complete the state program, according to an Associated Press report.
