Sugar Ray rounds out summer tour plans with fairs, NASCAR
Sugar Ray kicks off headline support of their latest release, "In the Pursuit of Leisure," with a month's worth of shows focused on East Coast fairgrounds, parks and amphitheatres.
The band spent most of the spring opening arena dates for Matchbox Twenty, and "Leisure" was released about midway through that trek.
Sugar Ray's cover of the Joe Jackson hit "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" is making some headway on the Hot AC radio airplay charts, according to Radio and Records.
The current itinerary includes a Sept. 5 date at Richmond, VA's Richmond International Raceway, where Sugar Ray will join label brethren Hootie and the Blowfish, Uncle Kracker and Trapt in providing evening entertainment during the weekend's NASCAR events.
