Hard-rockers Tantric [ tickets ] have lined up summer dates as they prepare to head out on the road with a new studio album, "Mind Control."

The group kicks off the outing July 31 in Syracuse, NY, and will hit 25 cities on the nightclub-heavy jaunt, which also features a few fair and festival appearances. The trek is set to conclude Sept. 16 in York, PA. Dates are below.

The band's fourth studio effort, "Mind Control," is due in stores Aug. 4. The album, which was produced by Brett Hestla (Creed), follows last year's "The End Begins," which featured the hit song "Down and Out."

The title track from "Mind Control" is currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.

The Louisville, KY-based group formed in the late '90s and earned a gold record for its self-titled debut, but fell apart after releasing its 2004 sophomore album, "After We Go." Most of the original members (three of which came from rock act Days of the New) flew the coop, leaving singer Hugo Ferreira to put together a new band.

Along with Ferreira, the current lineup consists of guitarist Joe Pessia, bassist Erik Leonhardt and drummer Richie Monica, along with the unusual addition of classically trained violinist Marcus Ratzenboeck.
