The Academy Is..., Mayday Parade headline fall Alterative Press Tour

The Alternative Press Tour will follow up a successful spring leg with a fall run featuring co-headliners The Academy Is... and Mayday Parade .
Sponsored by the music publication of the same name, the alt-rock tour, which begins Sept. 24 in Pittsburgh, will include support gigs from Set Your Goals, The Secret Handshake and You Me at Six. The 44-date club trek will hit major markets from coast to coast before finishing up Nov. 14 in Cleveland. Details are included below.
Pre-sale tickets for the outing go on sale Aug. 5, with public on-sales beginning Aug. 8 via Ticketmaster. (LiveDaily is an operating unit of Ticketmaster Entertainment, which also owns Ticketmaster.)
Three of the scheduled performers are supporting 2009 releases: Mayday Parade's forthcoming second set, "Anywhere But Here," Set Your Goals' recently released "This Will Be the Death of Us" and The Secret Handshake's "My Name in Lights," which hit shelves in April.
The Academy Is... continues supporting last year's "Fast Times at Barrington High," while You Me at Six released its full-length debut, "Take Off Your Colours," last October.
Now in its third year, the AP Tour wrapped a spring run earlier this year featuring 3Oh!3, The Maine, Family Force 5, Hit the Lights and A Rocket to the Moon.
