Black Crowes map summer dates

The Black Crowes have mapped out a summer schedule heavy on festival appearances as they continue to back last year's "Warpaint" LP.

The band will play a few European dates in May before launching into its North American schedule June 4 in Biloxi, MS. After a June 6 appearances at the Wakarusa Festival in Arkansas, the group will work its way through a mix of additional festival shows and casino dates through late July. Details are included below. The band's overseas schedule can be found at The Black Crowes' website.

The veteran rockers continue to support their first studio album in seven years, "Warpaint," which surfaced last year. The set debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart, spawning three singles so far: "Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution," "Wounded Bird" and the recently sprung "Oh Josephine," which hit radio earlier this month.

Earlier this year, the band recorded material for its next album in front of a live audience over four nights at Levon Helm's Barn in Woodstock, NY. No title or release date for the forthcoming set has been announced.

"We still want to do this," guitarist Rich Robinson told Billboard.com last year. "Having all this sort of new enthusiasm and this newfound sense of identity as a band, I think we want to put it to good use and make another great record and really do some different and interesting things."

The group--made up of brothers Rich Robinson and Chris Robinson (vocals), along with longtime drummer Steve Gorman, Sven Pipien (bass) and new members Adam MacDougall (keyboards) and Luther Dickinson (guitar)--took a four-year hiatus following its previous studio set, 2001's "Lions." The rockers returned to the live stage in 2005 with seven sold-out shows at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.
