The Fray plots campus trek behind sophomore set
The Fray has unveiled a handful of late-summer and early fall shows behind the band's recently released self-titled sophomore album.
The nine-date tour, which begins tomorrow (8/7) in Spokane, WA, visits clubs and college campuses scattered throughout the US over the course of two months. The schedule currently concludes with a Sept. 26 performance at Huntsville, AL's Big Spring Jam. Details are shown below.
"The Fray," the Colorado-based pop outfit's second album, debuted in February at the top of The Billboard 200 and holds the hit single "You Found Me." The record follows 2005's "How to Save a Life," the band's multi-platinum major-label debut.
"It's almost like the first record is the handshake," drummer Ben Wysocki told LiveDaily in a recent interview. "This is the conversation where you really get to know somebody. The more chances you have to share yourselves with people through music, the more you get to share."
In April, The Fray became the second act to launch an iTunes Music Pass, which gives subscribers exclusive material, including six live songs from the rockers' "iTunes Live from Soho" sessions, a handful of videos and a cover of Kanye West's "Heartless."
