Oscar-winning outfit The Swell Season [ tickets ] will launch a fall run of North America in support of its new studio album, "Strict Joy."

The duo--Frames frontman Glen Hansard and Czech vocalist/pianist Marketa Irglova--will begin the trip with a Nov. 1 performance in Milwaukee. The month-long outing will take the singer/songwriters to 25 cities from coast to coast, including a handful of Canadian stops along the way. The roadwork wraps with a Dec. 5 concert in Minneapolis. "Strict Joy," The Swell Season's third album, will hit shelves Oct. 27. The new effort follows the duo's gold-certified 2007 set, "Once," the soundtrack for the indie film of the same name that featured the pair acting opposite one another in the lead roles. "Falling Slowly," a single from the soundtrack, won an Academy Award last year for Best Original Song.

Hansard and Irglova first collaborated on the 2006 album "The Swell Season." A documentary about the pair's sold-out world tour behind "Once" is in the making, according to a press release.
