Tommy Lee pulled over by sky police

Tommy Lee and a friend, who were flying around the Southern California skies Sunday (2/1) morning in a helicopter, were escorted back to the closest airport after allegedly doing the aerial equivalent of donuts in front of a police chopper, according to an E Online report.

The Motley Crue drummer, who was not flying the helicopter, was released after the duo landed, but the unidentified pilot was taken to the LAPD's Van Nuys station for a sobriety test. The two apparently had a celebratory drink after landing, TMZ.com reported.

A spokesperson for the LAPD said there wasn't enough evidence to prove that the pilot was flying under the influence, so he was released. However, the incident will be reported to the FAA for further investigation.
