Toni Braxton Hospitalized With Chest Pains

Toni Braxton was forced to cancel a Las Vegas performance yesterday (4/8) after being hospitalized with chest pains, according to The Associated Press.

Braxton, who began a two-year run at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel-casino in August 2006, spent Monday (4/7) night at a Las Vegas hospital and was expected to be released after precautionary tests, according to a hotel spokesperson. The cause of the chest pain was not immediately known but Braxton reportedly has been treated in the past for pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart.

The Flamingo was offering refunds to the canceled show. It is unknown if the 40-year-old Braxton will be able to make her Wednesday (4/9) night show. Braxton's act, "Toni Braxton: Revealed," also plays Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
