Gloom-and-doom rockers Type O Negative [ tickets ] and Cradle of Filth [ tickets ] do some post-Halloween spooking during a fall co-headlining tour.

The two groups launch the run in Worcester, MA, on Nov. 14, and take a round-trip swing through the U.S. before wrapping up in Philadelphia on Dec. 16. Tickets for most shows are on sale now.

Included in the itinerary is a stop at the Nov. 15 New Jersey Metal and Hardcore Fest in Asbury Park, NY. Other acts scheduled to appear at the three-day festival are Danzig, Superjoint Ritual and Biohazard. More information is available at the event's website.

New York-based Type O Negative is backing its June release, "Life Is Killing Me." The set is the follow-up to 1999's "World Coming Down," which singer-bassist Peter Steele views as a disappointment.

"When we were writing 'Life Is Killing Me,' I knew I didn't want it to sound like 'World Coming Down,' because I was having quite a few personal problems at the time that album was being recorded and mixed," Steele said in a statement. "Because I had distanced myself from the process, too many cooks spoiled the broth. No one was happy and I am the least happy of all. ... Because I was wrapped up in my old bulls--- during the execution of World Coming Down, I feel that I owe, not just the band, but our fans, some sort of an apology. I am working on trying not to be so selfish, and I am doing the best I can."

Two tracks from "Life Is Killing Me"--"I Don't Wanna Be Me" and "The Dream Is Dead"--are available as free MP3-downloads from Roadrunner Records' website.

British black-metal outfit Cradle of Filth released its latest set, "Damnation and a Day," in March. Streaming samples of all of the album's tracks are posted at the band's website.

Portuguese Goth-rock group Moonspell opens all dates on the upcoming tour.
