Virgin Festival spreads to Montreal and Nova Scotia

Canada's Virgin Festival , which in previous years touched down in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, will expand to include Quebec and Nova Scotia this time around.

In Quebec, Virgin Festival Montreal will kick things off June 19-20 with a star-studded lineup including Black Eyed Peas, Simple Plan , Hedley , The New Cities, New Kids on the Block, Akon, Live, Lights and Divine Brown, among others.

Exact dates, locations and lineups for the remaining four festivals have yet to be announced.

"We've grown from 30,000 fans in our first year to break the 300,000 mark, making Virgin Festival the fastest growing music festival in Canada," Virgin Mobile Canada's Chief Marketing Officer announced in a press release.

Tickets for the two-day event in Montreal become available Saturday (5/9) via the festival's website.

Last year's roster featured Stone Temple Pilots, The Tragically Hip, The Flaming Lips, Three Days Grace, Matthew Good, City and Colour, Stars, The Fratellis, and The New Pornographers, along with several others.
