Visa issues sink The Damned's planned US trek

UK punk-rock veterans The Damned had planned to tour later this month with Canadian rockers Danko Jones , but the outing has been called off because The Damned's US Visas haven't been approved, according to The Damned's website.

"We are devastated to be disappointing our fans in the US who wished to see us on this tour, and sympathize with all those who have made travel arrangements and other commitments," the band said in a statement.

In the wake of the cancellations, Danko Jones plans to add more of its own North American dates, according to that band's website.
