Widespread Panic, Black Crowes to headline Forecastle Festival

Widespread Panic , The Black Crowes , The Black Keys and The Avett Brothers will headline the eighth annual Forecastle Festival this summer in Louisville, KY.

The music, arts and activism event, scheduled for July 10-12 at downtown Louisville's Riverfront Belvedere, will be one of only three festival appearances for Widespread Panic this summer, who will perform for two of the festival's three nights. According to a press release, there are still 65 artists and DJs yet to be announced at the festival website in the coming weeks.

Along with music, the event will also feature showcases from more than 60 environmental non-profit groups, artists, films, speakers and more.

Previous headliners have included Tortoise, The Disco Biscuits, De La Soul, Girl Talk and Sleater-Kinney, as well as speakers such as environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
